This page describes how you can request deletion of your Eco Station account and the personal data associated with it. It applies to the Eco Station App (Android & iOS) and any related services operated by ECO Station Sole Co., Ltd (“Eco Station”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

2. How to Request Account Deletion
You can request that we delete your Eco Station account and your personal data through any of the following channels. All requests are free of charge.
Option A — In-App (recommended)
- Open the Eco Station App and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm your identity.
- You will receive a confirmation email once the request has been received and again when deletion has completed.
Option B — Email
Send an email to office@ecostation.la from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. Please include:
- Your full name as it appears on the account.
- The phone number registered to the account.
- A short statement confirming that you wish your account and personal data to be deleted.
We may ask one or two additional verification questions to confirm your identity before proceeding, in order to protect your account from unauthorized deletion requests.
Option C — Phone
Call us at +856 20 771 678 81 during business hours (Monday–Saturday, 08:00–18:00 ICT / UTC+07:00, Vientiane local time) and ask for “account deletion”. Our team will guide you through identity verification and submit the request on your behalf.
3. What Data Is Deleted
Once a verified deletion request is processed, we will permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize the following:
- Account Information: Name, phone number, email address, and encrypted password.
- Profile Data: Profile picture, preferred language, and any settings you saved in the App.
- Vehicle Information: Make, model, license plate, and (optional) VIN linked to your profile.
- Location Data: Any GPS or location history collected through the App.
- Saved Payment Methods: Tokens for credit/debit cards or mobile wallets stored for one-tap payment. (Card numbers are stored only by our PCI-compliant payment processors and are deleted from their vault upon request.)
- Marketing Preferences: Push notification consents, email subscription, and personalization settings.
- Device & Technical Data: Device IDs, IP addresses, and App performance logs linked to your account.
4. What Data Is Kept (and Why)
Some records cannot be deleted immediately because we are legally required to retain them. After your account is deleted, we keep only the minimum information required by law, in a restricted-access archive used solely for compliance purposes.
- Tax invoices & payment records: Retained for 10 years as required by Lao PDR tax and accounting law. These records contain transaction amounts, dates, and tax IDs but no marketing or behavioral data.
- Anonymized charging session data: Aggregated, non-identifiable statistics about energy delivered, station usage, and uptime. This data cannot be linked back to you and is used for grid planning and service improvement.
- Records related to legal disputes or fraud investigations: Retained for as long as required by the relevant authority or until the matter is resolved.
5. Retention Period & Timeline
- Acknowledgement: Within 3 business days of receiving your verified request.
- Account deactivation: Within 7 days. Your account becomes inaccessible and you are signed out of all devices.
- Full deletion / anonymization of personal data: Within 30 days from acknowledgement, except for the records described in Section 4 above.
- Backup purge: Encrypted database backups containing your data are rotated out within an additional 60 days (so the maximum total period for complete erasure from all systems is 90 days).
- Tax / legal records: Retained for 10 years in restricted-access storage, as described in Section 4.
6. Effect of Deletion
- You will lose access to your charging session history and saved payment methods.
- Any active charging session will be terminated.
- Outstanding balances must be settled before the account can be deleted.
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. If you wish to use Eco Station services again in the future, you will need to create a new account.
